I have been working at Johns Hopkins University full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you have kids in college, the tuition benefit is outstanding. Vacation is good. Healthcare is good. Tuition remission is good, and they are usually flexible to allow you to take classes.

    Cons

The salaries are low in exchange for the "prestige" of working at Hopkins. Firing people is nearly impossible so some of your colleagues won't do any work but still get the same benefits as you.
