I have been working at Johns Manville as an intern (less than a year)

Pros

Great company culture. Relaxed environment. Didn't feel rushed in doing projects/assignment. Was able to take my time and learn the process and meet people. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and operators. Smaller plant allows for enormous learning potential. Worked on variety of different projects and goals. Able to travel to another plant, and HQ!

Cons

Not really any. Perhaps a more guided path for potential full-time employment after internship would have been nice.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Really great job. Already submitted my advice to management during the internship program, and it was addressed in a certain manner.

    I worked at Johns Manville

    Pros

Good benefits package with generous consideration when ill and family affairs require working from home.

    Cons

Like working in a company from the 50's. Boys club all the way. Politics drive promotions. Good employees with strong skills who actively push for improvements and change are soon driven out of the company. Morale is in the gutter. Very little understanding of leading technologies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You claim you hire the best, yet once you do no listens to their advice. Promotions are based on Politics and going with the flow.
