Johnson Controls Controls Technician in Boise, ID:   (Current Employee)

Pros

There is alot of opportunity for growth and development with Johnson Controls, both personally and professionally. You can go just about anywhere in the world with these guys. You can decide how far you want to take your career, you can stay in the field or work your way up through the ranks. The seem to promote from within here.

Cons

Union benefits are fair. Training for technicians could be better. It seems that union technicians are almost treated as if they are not as impotrant as company employees. Vacation sucks, one week a year. No sick leave. But that depends on where you work. More time off would be great.

Advice to Senior Management

Invest more in growing the local branches. A company this big should have no problem beating out the competition in any market.
