I worked at Johnson & Johnson

Pros

Excellent pay and benefits, including pension, 401K, vacation time and work and family considerations. Because there are so many divisions, it is easy to move around, but still remain and Johnson & Johnson employee, thereby retaining seniority.

Cons

Sometimes management doesn't recognize innovation and can be very political in making decisions. Some employees who don't produce much can do fine if they are well connected with management.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Follow the Credo more by considering making viable employment a priority.

I have been working at Johnson & Johnson

    Pros

Great network of companies in three very distinct areas of Consumer, Medical Devices, and Pharmaceutics. Opportunities to rotate between any of the three areas .

    Cons

Because J&J is such a large organization ti it difficult for the organization to make changes quickly or respond to issues in an efficient manner.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leadership should feel more empowered to allow people within middle management to make decisions and be allowed to fail but also hold those same decision makers accountable for a track record of poor decisions.

    Pros

The brand of J&J made it easy to sell in the my accounts.

    Cons

The company is too big ...they have over 200 business units which make it hard to explain to customers that you do not know everything about every product.
