Pros

Good solid company with fair middle management, and the senior leadership is changing to include more competence

Cons

Constant change and downsizing. worrying if you will have a job next month. However when they do lay people off the severence package is more then fair. Last round was 60 days as an employee and 2 weeks per year of service with a minimum of 8 weeks. basically everyone affected recieved 4 months salary and benefits including medical and dental and a 3rd party consultant to help coach you thru the new job search.

Advice to Senior Management

get a clue. if it were not for the sales force there would be no company. quit trying to financilally cover your leadreship mistakes by reducing the sales force. this is a downward spiral that you will not recover from if it continues.
