Pros

The environment fosters an collaboration and success. All of my colleagues are satisfied with what they do, knowing that they are serving a positive purpose, helping others. My bosses are very friendly, and candid in giving us feedback. There is a sense of fairness in the workplace, and I never have had a major issue. Hours are very flexible, and work/life balance is among the best. Recently, Johnson and Johnson was ranked #1 by Diversity Incorporated. This is a testament to the improvement that Johnson and Johnson aspires to establish year after year. This is a wonderful place to work.

Cons

There is a very conservative mindset in the workplace. It is a very open environment; however, there is also nuances to this. In addition, there are times where work can consume. Feedback results are fair; however, sometimes, waiting to hear the justification for the results can take some time. These issues aren't Johnson and Johnson's fault; rather, they are dependent on ones boss. Although working here is competitive, which can be a downside, it only improves the company and the individual as a whole. There are not many gripes that I can state for people working at Johnson and Johnson.

Advice to Senior Management

Listen to you employees. This applies to all workers, at any company. In order to be effective at communication, the first step is listening. I would praise the work they have done, as Johnson and Johnson has grown into a powerhouse as a corporation. They strive to continue to innovate through their scientific establishments, while at the same time, they make sure to maintain a focus on the worker. I am proud to work here. Senior management ensures flexibility, and makes sure that although Johnson and Johnson is a large company, it maintains a small business feel, allowing employees to work comfortably.

You've GOT to be kidding - not at all what I experienced in the 5 years I worked there. We were worked to death, there is a lot of favoritism, and performance evals were exceedingly unfair -
