Johnson & Johnson Project Manager:   (Past Employee - 2007)

Pros

Benefits and pay, including discounts on JnJ products are good. Company is huge so if you like a lot of fog around goals and objectives, this fits the bill.

Cons

Became part of JnJ when they bought the company I worked for. Original company went from a very teamwork oriented environment to being paranoid of layoffs. Many of the quality senior managers either jumped ship quickly or left after giving the Credo a shot and not seeing it being applied to their groups. New JnJ management came in and never bothered to take advantage of what our groups had to offer, just told them to do it like it's done at JnJ now. Was very hard to watch a company that was efficient and also enjoyable to work for get gutted and zombie'd out by huge corporate politics.

Advice to Senior Management

Promote more collaboration and teamwork at individual contributor level. When coming up with new strategies, don't be afraid to get input on how those might be implemented.
