Pros

There are many very good people there. The faculty are focused on the students not that there are enough of them. Many directors and deans care about the place and do a great job with what they have to work with.

Cons

The leadership is awful (cold, dense, illiterate, lacking in integrity and focused on themselves), the most senior leader is simply absent and one is apparently smart but absolutely bufoonish, bumbling and inappropriate. Leadership is mostly from the inside (secretaries or cooks who are now leaders) and therefore nothing really changes. There is no realization they are in the business of higher education. They are proud of their strategic planning results which are really trivial (they moved from open admissions to some standards for example).

Advice to Management

Retire you are ruining the university. Its not about efficiency its about vision and ambition.
