Too many ego driven managers

I worked at Joie de Vivre

I got hired at the Shorebreak Hotel before the Commune merger. It was a great work culture. Great people, decent training, good perks, and managers noticed if you had integrity and a passion for hospitality. One pro is, as long as your supervisor wasn't a complete nut job like mine was, you were empowered to give discounts or do what was best for the guest when handling a complaint

Where do I start, the list of bad things started to outweigh the good a long time ago.
-managers are completely ego driven and only hire people that are non threatening to their position of power in the hotels structure. Weakest front desk management I've ever seen at a hotel.
-favoritism, retaliation allowed in reservations department. Repeated attempts to talk to HR and management were 100% futile and ignores
-Only one HR representative on site and they just did away with the Regional HR or "people services" as they call it. Our HR manager was like 22 and totally unrelatable. If I need a problem solved I would rather speak to experienced HR professional like the regional person but they did away with that
-TONS of fly by night policies that are NOT in the employee handbook. Managers implement policies they will never have to follow.
-Lack of luxury amenities for guests.
