Jones Apparel – “Solid company, but salaries could be better

Jones Apparel Anonymous:   (Current Employee)

Pros

Well-managed financially. Solid operationally. Strong ethical standards, especially compared with rest of industry. Flexibility in managing work hours. Good benefits available. Management trying to improve frequency of feedback & reviews to employees.

Cons

Compensation on low side (except for "stars" who sometimes don't deserve what they're rumored to be paid). Management could still do better in informing employees about important developments, though they're trying.

Advice to Senior Management

You need to keep your lower-level employees happy to keep them productive, even during the ongoing recession. Increased feedback is good ... higher salaries are better.
