I have been working at Jones Lang LaSalle full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

40 hrs a week, thats the only thing good to say at this time.

Cons

Company is way to top heavy, We have three managers for 3 different shift, and they report to another manager, who in turn reports to another manager, all at the same location. Why do we have a manager for a 2 employee shift? Does it really take that much management for 2 people?

Advice to ManagementAdvice

We are too micro managed, the lastest grip from upper management was because we were not checking the check boxes on a safety inspection. We would do the inspection and draw a solid line through the check boxes, however it gave them the impression that we were failing to do the required inspection. Really, that pretty petty that you micro manage how a form is filled out. YOU HAVE TOO MUCH TIME ON YOUR HANDS IF YOU ARE CRITICIZING A CHECK MARK. GO DO SOMETHING MORE IMPORTANT. I will remind you we have a spotless safety record with no reported injuries.

    Pros

There is always work to be done.

    Cons

There are never enough people to do all the work that is needed, and the compensation and recognition for the hard work put in does not come close to being fair. Too much emphasis on who your boss is, and where you are located and no on how hard you work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your employees what they are worth, recognize and reward the talent, actively work to grow that talent before it gets taken by competitors.

    Pros

A very strong company with client first mentality, where quality is first.

    Cons

Operating extremely lean - lot's of stress to do more - difficult to keep up with demands.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

We speak of top-grading talent in corporate solutions, but we're not matching with top-grade compensation. Let's align on messages.
