Good company with lots of opportunities

I have been working at Jones Lang LaSalle

Pros

Global company with lots of business lines and avenues to build your career. Excellent benefits package and educational opportunities within organization.

Cons

Very top heavy. Espouses work/life balance but expects 24/7 availability. Very disparate compensation program with large salary deltas within a position or title. Promotion compensation schedule is not on par with culture messages.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Standardize compensation program and made grade levels and salaries available to employees.

HR is biased and ignorant. Little opportunity for growth. Management awful.

    Pros

None really. One or two nice people.

    Cons

HR hires very unqualified people who sit around and gossip all day. HR leaders are incredibly biased and immature. Management and hiring decisions are awful, no wonder such a high turnover rate. If you're not a broker or a semi good looking idiot girl they don't care about you. Discriminatory workplace as well, lots of republicans voicing their frustrations with democrats and underprivileged races. They work you very hard and treat you like garbage.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Revamp everything.

    Doesn't Recommend

I worked at Jones Lang LaSalle full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

If you know how to network in corporate america, then this might be a good place to work.

    Cons

Stigmas and stereotypes are not a thing of the past. In the JLL culture, stereotypes are running rampant within the system.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

HR has been alerted of some very very VERY serious faux pas.....but it still doesn't resonate within their system. This company has been known to strategically hire people for a short term position, change their title at the end of the short-term, place them under new management, then 'find' a reason to fire them. This is the new work-around for laying people off, paying unemployment benefits, giving salary increases and avoiding FMLA eligibility. Of course, it makes their job rate reports look better if they do not lay people off.
