Good company until it became too corporate

I have been working at Jones Lang LaSalle full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

For the most part good people to work with and there were good projects. Good salaries and liberal employee benefits.

    Cons

Managers became very pompous and overbearing during the good times. No compassion or true understanding for employees. As the company grew, it became over regulated and the ability to pick up the phone and speak to people at all levels vanished.

  2. Helpful (4)

Frequently, management hired, lacks the knowledge and/or experience required in the area they were hired to run.

    Pros

Ability to work remotely Pay and benefits are generally good

    Cons

Management tends to make decisions without realizing potential impact on employees productivity Saving money is primary focus and often results in time consuming procedures When it comes to promotions and hiring, it is often who you know Heavily process driven company

    Advice to Management

    1. Before hiring management, make sure they have sufficient experience and/or background for the area they will be working. 2. When making decisions with a client, make sure it is a viable option for implementation without negatively impacting an existing process and/or costs or creates a new more time consuming process for additional costs
