Pros

The industry is exciting and ever changing. The Firm feels "classier" than other competitors, the Firm is very hard working and everyone puts in minimum 50 hour weeks.

Cons

You're often seen as a "vendor" to clients and have to work to earn their partnership and respect. That is tough as an analyst trying to earn respect not just from clients but from peers and market professionals. The Firm for being as large as it is lacks a mentor-ship or peer shadow program as well as international opportunities.

    Pros

Good benefits - even for new hires Relatively easy to move around to other positions internally Flexible with PTO

    Cons

Lack of true Management "Act before you think" strategy - always playing catch-up and reacting to issues rather than preventing them Poor work-life balance Spread too thin

    Advice to Management

Seek advice from appropriate contacts before you make important/impactful decisions Reevaluate management and their tactics Offer fair compensation that reflects work load and experience

This was a challenging place to work. Management seemed to be ill-equipped to respond to account needs.
