I have been working at Juniper Networks full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

They are great to work with. I have had 3 of the best managers since joining Juniper.
Company is fiscally conservative, which is good in hard economic times. I think it has prevented massive layoffs.

Cons

My experience with my managers is not the same company-wide.
Opportunities for remote employees are limited.
Company is fiscally conservative. This limits travel spending, hiring, raises, bonuses, etc. We are constantly told how there are spending and hiring freezes and when someone leaves Juniper, they are often not replaced which increases the burden on the remaining employees.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Loosen the purse strings a little bit.

I worked at Juniper Networks full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

I worked their for a long time, was one of the best companies i worked for. Mainly because of the people i worked with. The company was always focused on doing what was right for the customer. very ethical in their approach to business.

    Cons

the culture changed and the newer folks seemed more about what they could do to advance themselves vs what they could do to advance Juniper.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

they need to focus more on execution and stay committed to what Juniper is good at.
