    Pros

    Collegial culture
    Innovation centric
    Decent base compensation

The company has some great people and some phenomenal engineers. They have a very fair performance management system for the entry to mid-level roles.

    Cons

    Lack of leadership clarity
    Planning/Hiring can be bursty
    IT investments are ineffective

The company can be great if it can get over its insecurities and is ready to accept a change in how it is perceived by the market: as a small, niche competitor to Cisco.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

The benefits and compensation were reasonable, and there seemed to be many intelligent and hard working people there.

    Cons

Constant churn and reogranization. The name of my business units changed 4 times in three years, with corresponding changes in leadership.

Enterprise is not taken seriously, and acquisitions are not done in a strategic manner.

Politics are a problem at the higher levels.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communication lines from the top are broken. When restructuring and trimming projects, you need to have a plan BEFORE you cancel. Dropping the cancelation on the team without a followup plan generates a huge moral problem.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
