Compensation is inadequate among rank-and-file employees and contractors
Long-time contractors are rarely converted to staff; this undervalues their extensive contributions and value to the company
Advice to Senior Management – In the past 6 months, 9 employees have voluntarily left one department. Allowing this to happen and not investigating the root causes of this exodus are very expensive mistakes. The 9 employees who left the department took with them many years of experience plus unique skills and innate product knowledge that cannot be replicated in the new hires brought on board to replace them. Pay close attention to what employees say in their exit interviews and act on the common factors.
