    I worked at KCI

    Pros

The benefit package was pretty good and a number of the people that I worked WITH were wonderful. Lots of interesting things to learn. The manufacturing plant got Friday afternoons off.

    Cons

LOTS of playing favorites determined who got promotions and raises and bonuses. Some managers were terrible managers and everyone knew it, but they kept getting more people to supervise. They brought in a new CEO to build up the stock price - yeah, like that worked. All that did was cause layoffs and she hired a ton of VPs and directors - too many chiefs and not enough workers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Standardize your feedback and employee reviews. Stop allowing the playing of favorites. Get the real answers instead of hte white-washed ones that you want to hear. Put in some people who actually know how to manage others CONSTRUCTIVELY.
