    Pros

There are very few companies that can afford the marketability of a big 4. Credibility is built in, so it looks great on your resume. It is what you make it, so what you can learn is expansive.

    Cons

There are certain "types" that have great advantages in advancing - those able to sell. Regardless of what they tell you, this is the difference maker. Perhaps you can learn this skill, but the point is you MUST learn or have it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Performance management system is bad. I don't mean it can use improvement, I mean it is bad. You must get rid of the all-too subjective grading system and make recognition more systematic. You penalize employees that "let the work speak for them" and award those who "tout themselves". While self-promotion may be a trait common for executives, it is skewed at KPMG.

    Pros

The Oversees Secondment options are a nice perk.

    Cons

Long hours and a lot of travel. It's difficult to have a share portfolio due to all of the restrictions.
