I have been working at KPMG International full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Globally recognised firm with generally good people who are keen to get the right work/ life balance. in my experience the firm is flexible to people's lives, but of course will want their pound of flesh at times- though this is rewarded with the autonomy to have downtime when things are quieter. Career progression is largely in your own hands- people will help you if you put your hand up and shout about what you want. benefits are reasonable but definitely not the best out there.

    Cons

Internal politics can be frustrating, and partnership can be a bit of an old boys network in places. Promotions are a combination of hard work, good luck and timing, and as they only happen yearly it can feel like it takes time to progress. Performance Management and reward system is not overly transparent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more honest with employees and greater consistency with performance management.

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
