Good salary and benefits. A lot of responsibility and independence to do your work. Senior management has monthly phone conferences to let you know what changes are likely coming.

Cons

With the economic downturn, severe cutbacks were made to the 401(k) match and the inability to go out of town for CPE/CLE seminars.

Advice to Senior Management

Let the partners bear more of the burden of the downturn rather than penalizing the associates so much. Keep the focus on training and retaining the associates.
