I have been working at KPMG US

Pros

Good atmosphere, down to earth compared to other big 4 firms. Doing tax you get to do the CA and CTA at once.

Cons

Feel I am worth more than I'm paid as a trainee.

    I worked at KPMG US

    Pros

    Intelligent People
    Interesting work
    Brand name
    International opportunities

I had a great time during my stint - lots of opportunities for learning and development, great place for someone who is self-motivated and doesnt mind working longer hours than the traditional 9-5 and is interested in harnessing the global network the firm has.

    Cons

    Bureaucratic
Lots of paperwork and administrative work

I didnt enjoy spending too much time on paperwork that was supplementary to the engagement at hand. I also found myself making too many edits and not getting to create new work as much as possible. there is less room for creativity at the entry level but I would say the opportunity to come up with creative ideas increases with responsibility, especially in advisory and tax.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sometime, management may be seen as spending too much money on on-the-road perks which could be diverted to higher pay scales. Overall, increase your accesibility and continue to keep comunicating to your workforce.
