    Pros

    You do have a "better" schedule compared to most public accounting jobs. Although, being in the Federal government practice, you have a very tough busy season in October and November.

    Cons

    In the Washington D.C. Federal practice, if you work here, it benefits you only if you plan on going to work for the government in the future. If you want to work for a private company of any sort, working here will not benefit you at all. Most people enter public accounting to get a vast experience in different fields. However, if you're in this practice, you will not get those experiences.

    I worked at KPMG US full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    Big 4 company, heard very positive feedback on employment from colleagues working at other practices. Each office location and practice has their own culture and that should be taken into consideration. My negative experience was not reflective of what I heard from other offices during my time there.

    Cons

    Job description did not match actual job, still a lof of the old Anderson culture remaining, excessive hours and mandatory weekends (2-3/months) year round (~70-80/hrs), high manager pressure to avoid any time off, poor leadership skills from management

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    get more HR involved to monitor more of the management practices with Associates and Senior Associates
