I worked at KPMG US full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

A wide variety of consulting projects available depending on the practice that you get into. Your experience may very though.

    Cons

Upward progression is often delayed to keep the "worker bees" busy with billable hours. Expect at least 5 years before a manager position, which is really just a glorified Sr. Associate with more expectations for RFP assistance and a bigger ego.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The worst performers get washed out through PIP's and the stars often leave for better industry jobs, because they know what they're worth. As a result, what's left at KPMG are the middle of the road / average performers. Its tough to move past KPMG's last place ranking among the big 4 if you're stocked with a bunch of average people.

    Neutral Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
