    Pros

Great organization, wonderful work environment, job to be proud of.

    Cons

Must be a self starter to succeed; culture is not to train new employees.

I have been working at Kaiser Permanente as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Very good pay and work/life balance, for administrative type positions anyway. Depending on the department and supervisors, work can be very satisfying.

    Cons

Management disconnect from the front lines. Things move too slowly at times. Bureaucracy needs to be whittled down. Depending on the department and supervisors, work can be unproductive and repetitive.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Talk to your contractors, they have valuable insights. Telecommuting will save you tons of money. Cut down on office space expenses by having telecommuting employees share office spaces.
