I worked at Kalcorp

Pros

Discounts on merchandise was very good. Met lots of good people and made some great connections. None of those connections are still with the company.

Cons

No professional growth, no organization, no business planning, micromanagement, gossip, lies and deceit within the office, management would rather hear a loud and proud "YES" to a bad idea then acknowledge reasonable doubt in any idea, under utilized potential in staff, constant cuts of needed staff and resources, no training for any position, desire for financial growth with needed investments required for growth, understaffed, low pay (while owners live VERY flashy excessive lifestyles), no concern for staff leaving, short term views only, would but off their own fingers to save a buck, no ones job is what what described to them when they interviewed.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't mislead or lie to people who interview with you about their jobs, care about your staff, recognize the waste caused by one narcissistic girl who is slowly running off your good staff and running your company into the ground, know that just because someone said "I'd be glad to do that" doesn't mean they will do it well, correct, or even do it at all. Also, no one wants fashion designer A&M clothing.
