Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop with the grandiose BHAG and get back to basics - deliver quality features quickly that meet market needs. When you're stronger and not living hand-to-mouth you can pick your head up and look for new mountains to climb.

    Friendly and casual working environment. Company dinner and excursion. Exposure to international colleagues. Advanced software engineering framework.

    Cons

    Slow career progression. Seniority based ranks. Mediocre salary package.

    I have been working at Kana full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    - Products are very good and interesting to work on.
    - Majority of staff are very friendly and office is generally a nice place to work

    Cons

    - Happy to pay well bellow market rate unless you threaten to resign.
    - US senior management expect you to be available in their hours too often.
    - At the start of projects mistakes where made and requirements not fully fleshed out leading to a unrealistic development plan. Instead of acknowledging this and readjusting time lines, management insist on making dev and QA teams work unpaid overtime to complete projects.
    - Developers and QA are treated as replaceable "resources" and not people
    - Revolving door recruitment policy
