Pros

Excellent benefits, friendly employees, good pay, room for advancement and growth, and a great office in La Crosse.

Cons

Large company where decisions in other offices will have an impact on your job.

    I have been working at Kaplan full-time

    Pros

    There are lots of talented, skilled and fun people to work with. There are a variety of projects to work on. The work environment is relaxed, with good work / life balance. The pay is competitive, and the benefits are good.

    Cons

    The opportunity to innovate is stifled by institutional resistance to change. There are too many low-value projects being worked on. Performance management (performance objectives, employee development) is an exercise in "going through the motions".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Identify current value streams, analyze them, then design new value streams that improve upon the ability to provide products and services to customers. Engage everyone in creating the envisioned future value streams, instead of having them work on low-value projects.
