Good company to work for but you trade a good title and work/life balance for low salary.

I worked at Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions

Pros

Many internal resources that come with a large organization owned by a public company. Great opportunity for professional growth and advancement. They hire good people and many are fun and interesting to work with. Great place to work once you are in a an executive position. Top management (President, Divisional Heads) are talented visionaries and inspire confidence.

Cons

Executives can be somewhat arrogant and treat staff poorly (even though their bosses are the opposite). Problems in other divisions can effect top performing divisions. The company may have peaked and the economy and challenges from smaller market players may make it hard to maintain market share of this once great, for-profit educational company.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be nicer to lower level employees and get off your high horses..this is test prep not a cure for cancer. Work on retaining top talent through better compensation.

Give credit where credit is due. When campus reps do a great job, they should be recognized for it along with the Campus Managers.
