I worked at Kaplan University full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Average wages for the work performed. Typically 40-45 hour work weeks on a M-F schedule, so they aren't driving you toward burnout.

    Cons

Morale is low due to the multiple rounds of layoffs. Politics prevent bad projects from being terminated early and retasking people and $$ to better options. A lot of pressure for the sales staff/admissions. One's supervisor has a lot to do with one's success.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pick a direction, stick with it and provide the right resources and time to see if things are working. Interdepartment cooperation is poor. Leadership needs to take a more active role in ensuring collaboration happens in a healthy way.

Not a bad place to work as a part-time college student or recent grad.

I worked at Kaplan University full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The pay is pretty lucrative if you're working through your degree while you're employed. They try to show employees their graditude through formal lunch functions that are catered by elite groups.

    Cons

No potential for upward movement. Pay is stagnent because of the new laws on for profit schools. The industry is dying and probably won't be around long.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a look at what it going on and be realistic. Lower your prices to a reasonable cost per credit hour and you will recoup your losses by more student enrollments.
