    Pros

    Flexible schedule,. Was able to work independently and have control as to how to manage your own territory.

    Cons

    Wasn't compensated fairly, commission rate changed often. Mileage reimbursement was low, $.30/mile. Was laid off and only received a retention bonus, no severance pay after over 8 years of employment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pay industry standards and appreciate those out in the field.

    If you are a hard worker, you can do well

    full service contracts are going away leaving good sales reps without jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Corporate needs to realize sales will trend downward if they stay on the path they are on with the elimination of full service contracts with grocery store chains. Most grocery store management do not have the desire or the time to grow the specialty foods category therefore killing your sales at store level.
