Pros

Good company to work for. They pay well and have a good benefits package. Management goes out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and apart of the team.

Cons

Some of the projects can be difficult to work on due to the company having multiple divisions so there can be breakdowns in communication or just a lack of care sometimes.

Current Employee - Senior Research Associate
Current Employee - Senior Research Associate

    Pros

    Transparency
Average to good fringe benefit package
Lots of opportunity to learn and cross-train across functional areas (if you're self-motivated)
Non-management employees as a whole are extremely talented hard-working folks
    High ambition growth directives
    Family-feel
Does a lot of good in the community

    Cons

    Wages are below market
Focus is on marketing/sales, and manufacturing; research and development is a tertiary underfunded function
Conservative and slow to change for a family owned technology company
High incidence of inexperienced, poorly trained, or otherwise inadequate management at both mid- and executive level
Culture has shifted away from rewarding performance and experience without doctoral education
    Work-life balance is poor

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay reasonable market value for your talent and follow through with directives. Best laid plans and goals are irrelevant in the face of an inability to retain talent and repeated poor execution.
