I have been working at Kennametal full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Effort is recognized and constant interaction with top management is healthy and helps you focus on the job and your ideas are counted.

Cons

The ITPL facility could do better with maintenance and house keeping. Kennameta;'s plant on Tumkur road is an excellent place to work.

    Pros

Freedom to make decisions, career growth, benefit package

    Cons

ISCL VP's and Director's lack leadership skills, company runs most plants pennies and belittles plant management for less than desirable results, very micro managing, less than competitive compensation at management levels.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

ISCL VP's and Director's need to be taught how to manage and grow their direct reports, not bully, belittle, and single out as a response to lower than expected results. KMT also needs to invest in their plants, expecting results from years and years of neglect of the equipment and facilities has made an extremely difficult situation even more impossible.
