Work life balance is such a crock of crap. If I hear the work-life balance sales pitch one more time I might throw up. It is such a load of crap. Sure, if you are an admin assistant who does nothing but shop for shoes online all day, your work-life could be balanced, but that's about it.

As I'm gasping for air with all that b-s up to my neck. Management realizes they are losing control of their company, and instead of listening to employees and trying to improve things, they create accounts on this website and insult employees by calling them names, as well as voting all 5's in attempt to up their overall rating and improve their public image. How about attempting to implement a few of these suggestions, and then sit back and watch as disgruntled employees turn to happy employees, and give the company legit high ratings. Matter of fact, happy employees = higher productivity, which = more money in your pocket at the end of the day. Lastly, why are you making fun of people that work at jails? Do you think your better than those people? My husband works at a jail, and loves his job and makes good money as well. What's next? Are you going to make fun of police man or firefighters or red cross volunteers.

I know who wrote it and I can say his name cuz i don't work there anymore, but I will keep you guessing for a while. It's a guy, a shareholder and he's been mentioned on this site. At first I thought these posting were quite interesting but for a shareholder to call all of his employees basturds and to make fun of people that work in jails, that protect his butt, I thought he is down right MEAN and like another comment said he is a Narcissist and he should be impeached. He should not even show is ugly face and stay in his shareholder office while you guys work in your used Arthur Andersen cubicles that you can't spread anything out in, store anything, have any privacy and put everything on the floor, well for the ones that stay busy so everyone else can have new furniture. I would be PO if I still worked there. Too bad it's not a union, however, you are treated like you are blue collar, not that there is anything wrong with blue collar as my husband is BC but I thought that was a professional office. If you guys can unlock that chain from your chair, let's have lunch. I'll talk to you lucky ungreatful basturds soon.

me to but that is not how the shareholder that wrote it meant it but we will be bigger people and turn lemons into lemonade. By the way, can we get some lemonade back in the soda machine instead of all sodas for us healthy people and the pregnant women? I love shoes and there is someone in the office that really loves shoes. Plus she has a small foot and she looks good in all shoes. I wish I did.

As many as we want as they are all different and go with different outfits. Guys, don't even try to understand.

My husband watched a show on Zappos.com on how it got started and the founder who is also the CFO who does not have a big fancy office but a cubicle just like his employees. All he employees are very happy to work there. He makes them work in every department in the beginning. After their training, they have a little graduating get together and he gets up and speaks and hands each one of them $5,000 in cash not to work for him/Zappos. No one has ever taken it. Everyone wants to work there. They have expanded now into more things other than shoes because of a big out pour because of their customer service. It is top notch. Check it out if you get a chance.

I must be missing something. Why are we talking about shoes. Did somebody not like somebody's shoes. Did somebody order some shoes online during business hours. Well tough. If we are required to wear shoes at work then we need time to order them. When we work all the time, when do we have time to shop. It only takes 5 mins to order online. I think we deserve a couple of breaks during the day. It is to your advantage anyway. Would you like more mistakes and more time to fix them or us take breaks. Get over yourselves. I totally get it now. I just read the comment above. GIVE ME A BREAK LITERALLY.

I was volunteering one day and was standing next to single mom with two daughters and we got to know each other after 10 hours. Not only did I find out a lot about her and why she was now able to volunteer and help other single, abused mons with children but I found out about someone that I work currently with. The person that works among us was volunteering about 12 years ago and met this abused lady and her infant and young daughter. Become quite found of them and within 2 months purchased a new three bedroom home for them and the next time she went in to volunteer, she handed her the title. I cried and cried and cried. Now this person is not a lovie, feelie, and huggie person. Have any of you heard about this? No, and you won't. I was totally shocked. Not because of this person, because she would do anything for anybody but because this lady talks about it like it just happened. It does not stop there.
Evidently, there is a dinner every year and at this dinner, they have a car drawing, $100 per ticket and one year, she purchased 10 tickets and won a car and gave it to this lady.

Let me ask this ask this shareholder that called all of us ungrateful basturds if #1 has he ever volunteered is time for anything? #2 have you ever purchased a house for anybody? And #3 would you ever give anybody a car that you won?

So before you call any body UNGRATEFUL BASTURDS OR BITCHES, you better be sure. I sure hopes she does not read this website.

I can't believe she did that for that mom and her daughters, What a wonderful thing to do for an abused woman. That would be a great story to tell at Toastmasters, don't you think. There would not be a dry eye in the conference room. If the both of you got up there and you told what you heard while she was telling the story. That would be the best.

You are all a buch of ungreatful bastards....this fabulous firm is a long standing fine workforce in the community and unless you forgot is feeding both your ego and your bank acct...think about that next time you gripe about the long walk up the stairs or down to hall to the break room with a
