Rock Bottom Morale

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
Tampa, FL

ProsDont really have any Pros.

ConsMorale at this facility is at rock bottom. They haven't given raises in years, not even small cost of living raises. They give out evaluations without giving raises. Which doesnt make a whole lot of since. Employees are constantly being asked to take on more and more work without compensation to match. When it comes to Holidays they make thier empoyees who are on second shift work New Years Eve, and not let them spend time with thier families or significant other. Before Kimball Inc. took over this company, we had free coffee, now replaced by a machine that doesn't work half the time and have Ants in them some times. Ants are every where. They Dont have very good machinary to build their product. No Room for avancement. That too has been eliminated by management and HR's attitude towards employees are poor. Layoffs happen every year. They will fire you for any Reason.

Advice to Senior ManagementTo many chiefs and not enough Indians

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

I have been working at Kimball International full-time for more than a year

Pros: You will be recruited with a competitive salary It's located in a small town… Cons: The business units act independently and some are forced to compete head-to-head against each other. In spite of commitments you receive at hiring as a manager,… Advice to Senior Management: Get an outside evaluation of the company culture, the provision of resources… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More

I have been working at Kimball International

Pros: If you want to roll-up your sleeves and get to work there is opportunity for… Cons: A non-positive attitude will not get the necessary work done. Advice to Senior Management: Additional support is necessary beyond people. More
