    I worked at Kinder Morgan

    Pros

Cost vs benefit methodology is used for project approval.

    Cons

The methods used to determine the benefit of projects are too heavily weighted on immediate (today) benefits. My opinion is that many of these types of evaluations will cost them dearly in the long run.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at the bigger picture and take the future into consideration. Determine more accurately what the future cost (both tangible and intangible) will be before rejecting projects.
