I worked at Kindercare full-time (more than an year)

Pros

It's wonderful working with kids daily and implementing curriculum in classrooms.

Cons

In the late afternoons kids are shifted around to different classes because there are fewer teachers and groups of all ages makes things chaotic. Compensation doesn't increase despite excellent performance. No room for advancement, this is not a career. Coworkers generally depressed about their position. Emphasis is on licensing or visits from supervisors, not on education and growth.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reward the teachers who truly care about their jobs.

    Pros

Flexible scheduling, school setting, and loving, nurturing learning environment.

    Cons

Gossip, favoritism, new polices that are not realistic, corporate people visit and don't even acknowledge you

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat everyone equal, properly train new employees, do not throw in a classroom and expect them to learn the correct way of performing their job.
