I worked at Kindred Healthcare full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Staff was doing a great job building a strong team. Few call offs, minimal turnover, very few complaints from family members. Great pay. Great hours.

Cons

Poor communication from Adminstrator and DON to staff
Reluctance to support staff
Slashed wages

Advice to ManagementAdvice

You just about need to close the place it has gotten so bad.

    There are no pros (from my experience) with this company.

    Cons

    Not being paid, poor management, you can't get an answer from anyone.

    Pros

    Rewarding patient care insurance was ok until the huge changes this year. 5k out of pocket. No more flex spending. To be such a large health care provider the benefits are less.than desirable

    Cons

    Noticeable higher salaries for men over women. When information taken to superiors acknowleged
    Difference in pay. Company is certainly about profit not care. Care is min at best. Marketing is encouraged to sale families based on being bonuses for admits. Falsified patient satisfaction surveys.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Evaluate pay on equal scale. Time as RN, work history ect.....put. Quality care first. Walk.your talk.
