I worked at King Soopers full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Employees were cared for and treated like people. People enjoyed working with their coworkers and the environment was positive, if sometimes unnecessarily harried by some dept managers.

Cons

Some issues weren't taken as seriously as they should have been.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better training is needed for dept managers to communicate more effectively with employees and customers.

    Good pay and benefits once you establish yourself

    Takes awhile to get good pay, and the only way to really get full time is to go into management

    Pros

    in general the people you work with are great, customers are terrific, creative job

    Cons

    unrealistic expectations from management, morale is poor, management lacks direction, and has conflicting priorities, making success nearly impossible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    have realistic expectations, make guest service the REAL priority, appreciate hard working employees, and show it!
