I have been working at Knight Transportation full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I drive a 2013 Cummins international. It's a nice truck. I drive refrigerated. Nice trailers nice people. U know.

    Cons

There are quite a few. Low pay, lots of layover, lots of baby sitting loads. Most of all the lack of communication between drivers, dm, management and all around disfunction! !! I am trying to get home this weekend. To is Friday I live outside green bay area. I have been sitting in the Indianapolis yard since Wednesday night. No load and no communication from drivers manager. The last 4 times I requested home for a weekend 3 times they sent me to Atlanta and the 4th time they sent me to boise, id. So u see if u choice to run distance your chances of getting home r very slim. The sliding pay scale is a joke. I got hired at 36 cpm. The pay scale is this 200 - .36, 300- .34, 400- .32 , 500 - .30 now they have a per diem option which takes 11 cpm off of the ooriginal. But they tell u that 11 cpm is not taxed so u get a tax break on the 11 cpm.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a clue!!! Your trucks spend more time in the shop than your drivers are on the road. U spend more on keeping your trucks so called maintained and not enough care about the people u employee!!!
