    Pros

Stable company in a rocky retail economy.

    Cons

Opportunities for advancement in the LP Department are few and far between.
Your happiness will largely depend on your DLPM. Some are great, allow for work/life balance, some do not.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To the LP Department - Increase opportunities for advancement. Once you reach LP Supervisor (which isn't terribly difficult), it's almost impossible to move to DLPM. There's an opening every now and then, and tons of LPS's are applying from all over the region as well as outside applicants. There needs to be a more accessible middle position between LPS and DLPM. I know that the LPM position does exist but our region had only like 1 position?

When you look at the operations side of the company, there's area supervisors, assistant store managers, store managers, etc. LP is way too constrained. I felt stagnant at the company after 4 years with zero opportunity for advancement. Also, some type of market investigator position would be nice for people interested in ORC. I see that at a lot of other similar companies.
