Current Employee - Store Manager Intern  in  Scottsdale, AZ
Current Employee - Store Manager Intern in Scottsdale, AZ

Pros

As as intern, we were thrown on the floor to learn how to manage associates, on a daily basis. We were assigned at least 4 hours of manager on duty. This gave interns a lot of experience. The internship that i was in, i learned a lot, and was not treated as an extra associate, meaning that I wasn't put on the cashier all day. I was given a manager duties. We unloaded trucks as well, to learn about that aspect of the company.

Cons

Other interns, depending on which store you are in, were given the task to be cashiers all day. That is not part of the program.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let interns know what they should do when they have free time.

Current Employee - Sales Floor Associate  in  Las Vegas, NV
Current Employee - Sales Floor Associate in Las Vegas, NV

    Pros

The only reason to work there would probably be the people you get to work with. Some of the managers are okay but a few of them are downright terrible.

    Cons

Mostly everything about working at Kohl's or any retailer is an 'all con' job. If you're not used to people getting in your face and being rude as all get out, it's not the place for you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you're going to ask your employees to be straight up with you when you have your 'chats' don't try and justify what you do at your stores. If you didn't want to know simply don't ask.
