    Pros

Konami is a well known brand name with huge technical resources in Japan. You are given a lot of opportunities to do a variety of different things within software development but there are no opportunities to broaden your career path. Redundancy seldom occurs so it's a safe company to work.

    Cons

Career progression is minimal within Konami if you are not sent from Konami Japan. All the good positions are seem to be held by staff from Japan. Training is weak as all training is done on the job and no standardized training is given. Salary and performance reviews are quite weak as in general salary is lower than industry rivals and increases are minimal. Japan dictates a lot of what is done in development so you don't have opportunities to provide your own input into the work. Also the important components are made in Japan, so know how isn't shared with foreign employees unless it's absolutely necessary.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think Konami management operates Konami like an industrial age enterprise where costs are kept low and innovation isn't promoted unless it's from Japan. Front line people don't often have a voice in rising opinions and suggestions on the creation of new products. I think Konami should re-look at how it should remodel itself on Microsoft or Google in developing processes that can develop innovative products for the future.
