    I worked at Kraft Foods

    Pros

It was a great company to work for. Management offered great support and guidance on getting to the next level. Overall I loved my tenure with Kraft Foods and would highly recommend a career with Kraft foods for people getting out of school seeking a career deirection. The experience with Kraft foods will truely open doors because of the multiple skills one develops working within the company.

    Pros:
    Company Car
    Salary
    Freedom

    Cons

If you are thinking about joining the company be prepared to work. If you are not ready to work and take the position, management (Store Manager/Direct Supervisors) WILL be able to tell by your lack of commitment to the job. This is definately a physical sales job as every DSD CPG job will be. The labor involved with being a sales rep during pack outs can catch up to an individual and I have seen some work related injuries from bodies not being able to keep up with the physical work load requirements. If you stay safe and pace yourself, you will be fine. There is adavncement oppurtunity, so if you work hard and stay resistant to the negative cooworkers than you may not be in a position that requires physicl labor for too long.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop making so many changes. Allow sales force to settle down sometimes to concentrate on what they were hired to do, and thats to drive the number. Ease off on employee reporting for tracking purposes. Rather than force unnecessaary work load onto your sales force, allow managers to make the call on whether or not sales representatives are performing their jobs at an acceptable level.

I have been working at Kraft Foods

    Pros

Many opportunities exist in Kraft both US and Internationally. If you are young and looking for a place to grow and prosper, Kraft is a good place - but to advance and heighten your salary you must be willing to move around. Very large company so depending on where your located and what division you are in will make a big difference in the culture. Kraft is made up of many smaller companies and each still have maintained their previous cultures.

    Cons

Not as friendly to older employees - caters to 20-30 crowd. Benefits and raises are not what one may expect from a company this large. Has lost a lot of the family feel in the past few years. New review mapping procedures relate more to minimal business experienced employees (IE: those starting in their career) verses a review mapping which has growth for both inexperienced and seasoned employees.
