Excellent training and excellent reputation. Great brands. You can go ANYWHERE after having worked in brand management at Kraft. The brand management function clearly drives the company. Also has very strong compensation packages compared to the rest of CPG industry.
Cons
VERY slow promotion process. You'll still be an associate while employees of similar tenure at other companies will rise through their ranks much quicker.
Heavy on process and bureaucracy, and decision-making is often made at a senior level, so you often don't feel like you really "own" your brand after all.
Advice to Senior Management
When you do lay-offs, choose the people who are truly bottom performers instead of just targeting boxes on the org chart. You've lost a lot of great people and have kept some really crappy ones.
