I have been working at Kroger full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Honestly other than my co-workers I can't think of much.

Expectations are pretty low, it seems you can pretty much do nothing and work there for decades.

    Cons

Don't bother trying to move up in the division office if you are not willing to put years in as a co-manager in the stores.

Good old boy's club... get used to being called "the help"

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make a decision - promote up from the stores or continue to hire college educated individuals and have constant turnover once they realize they have hit a dead end.

I have been working at Kroger part-time

    Pros

The customers are generally pleasant when you work in produce

    Cons

Scheduling is unbelievably frustrating, you can never commit to anything at anytime.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

learn to treat people with respect, communicate about the scheduling, Stop acting like we're stealing from you and look at yourself. Pay a decent wage and stop with this part-time stuff that is so rampant throughout the company. Fire managers that have lousy people skills you can find people who do.
