Pros

very comprehensive management training and experience. The company really does focus on developing you as a leader. Plenty of potential to move up in the company

Cons

long hours at times and they are not always in line with having a "normal life". Also again depending on where you are placed sometimes promotions are based upon popularity.

    Pros

Meeting lots of customers, helping train new cashiers, working with management.

    Cons

Long hours, low pay, poor benefits, some Managers not really wanting to jump in and help.

    Advice to Management

Pay better wages to cashiers, clerks, and associates. $7.00 per hour doesn't cut it. Publix was paying at one time $10 per hour to starting cashiers and clerks.
