I have been working at Kroger part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Good entry level job for high school students
    Co-workers become your friends
    Provides experience
    Make lasting connections

    Cons

Pay is low no matter work experience or work ethic
    No bonuses even on holidays
    Not allowed to work overtime
    Rarely receive raises
If the part-time job is shift work then don't count on getting days that you want off
    High turnover rate
Lack of employees leads part-time jobs to have 40+ hour weeks

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase salary or include bonuses. These "free items" are usually bad tasting and too sparse. Kroger's employees as a collective feel that we are given these "free products" because our customers won't buy them themselves. I will guarantee that by increasing the money given to employees the part-time employees will become loyal employees.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Positive Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
