    Not co-operative with your schedule

    Current Employee - Cashier
    Current Employee - Cashier

    Pros

Good work environment, for the most part friendly employees, stays busy most of the time. Customers can be great and it's fun seeing the same ones over and over again.

    Cons

Unfriendly managers/bosses, demanding schedule, stressful environment sometimes. They will try and guilt you in to coming in on your day off, even if your busy. Not co-operative at all with your schedule. If you just want a part time job or your in school, good luck here because those will be the only two things in your life.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work with the cashiers schedules more, if you didn't fire every one that doesn't want to work 25+ hours a week they'd add up and you wouldn't have to overwork everyone.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

Kroger..not the best place to work in the long-term

Current Employee - Courtesy Clerk  in  Atlanta, GA
Current Employee - Courtesy Clerk in Atlanta, GA

    Pros

    -Flexible hours
    -Reasonably pleasant work environment

    Cons

-Start at minimum wage, takes many years to build up to a decent wage
    -Difficult to attain full-time status

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pass some of the coin on to your employees - Kroger's CEO, Dave Dillon, got a 2/3 increase in total compensation in 2011, with nearly 3 million cash. Despite the fact that many positions at Kroger involve menial work, we deserve better for contributing to Kroger's overall success.
