I worked at Kum & Go part-time (more than an year)

Pros

Solid benefits if you stay there long enough. Flexible hours. Room for promotion if you work hard and well.

Cons

Management out of touch with store realities too much to do with too little help. Trying to get all the expected store tasks done with the amount of hours provided is unrealistic. Pay is on the low side

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just need to allow managers to staff the store better.

I have been working at Kum & Go full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great Friendly environment, lots of customer interaction, every day a different day.

    Cons

Too much to do and not enough time because of staffing issues. Constantly not enough people to get jobs done in a timely and efficient manner. Lack of regular associates that share the same level of dedication to be a team player as upper management. Smoothness in running a store never lasts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Every store needs to have staffing based on duties and tasks that need to be completed not just based off of customer count and sales.

I worked at Kum & Go part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

It's an easy job as long as you can shake off the idiot customers. If you work at a slow store you can get away taking a lot of breaks and still finish all your assigned tasks.

    Cons

There are no assigned breaks so if you're working alone you can get stuck without a break for a whole shift. Kyle Krause sold our store even though it was consistently a money-maker. Great business sense there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Give more holiday pay.
